Contact Your Local Media

Newsroom contacts are available on the organization's website under contacts.  You can usually find an email contact for the newsroom, the editor, or the publisher.  Alternatively, you can call their main phone number and ask the assignments desk who is the best person to receive your request.  You can attach this to an email for the newsroom (include News Release in the subject line) in one of 2 ways.  Open the press release and either:

• Save a copy on your computer and attach it to the email. 
• Select File --> Send --> Page by e-mail.

Contact your Elected Representatives in Congress

If you can do nothing else, please contact your representatives in Congress.  Let them know exactly how you feel about the IRS being used for political manipulation, and why you support the FairTax.  You can send a pre-written message at http://www.fairtax.org/EndIRS or send an email directly to your representative and both senators.  Contact information can be found to the right in the In Congress section.

House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp (R-Mich) and Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Mont) have launched http://TaxReform.gov to collect ideas for tax reform.  This is an opportunity to respond with a united voice behind the only tax reform plan that is simple, fair, and transparent.  Imagine if half of the ideas they received were in support of the FairTax.
