On Friday, March 16, 2012, the FairTax will be the focus of a CNBC “Squawk Box” discussion between FairTax Co-Founders Bob McNair and Leo Linbeck Jr. Bob McNair will be guest hosting the Squawk Box from 7-9 am EDT, and the FairTax is scheduled to be one of four 30-minutes segments

We’ll send out additional information as soon as we receive confirmation of the exact time for the FairTax segment.

Feature Article: The NEW FairTax.org!

The FairTax.org web site will receive a complete make-over next week!

This change is part of a comprehensive digital communications plan recommended to Americans For Fair Taxation by QuickSilver Interactive Group, Inc.

Our goal is to have newcomers to the FairTax understand in five minutes what the FairTax is, how it impacts them and how they can become involved or donate.

The changes currently being implemented will focus on engaging those who are not familiar with the FairTax with fewer, yet clearer messages, and simplified site navigation. We want to rapidly gain their attention and gather support for our cause.

This effort is part of our goal to attract 1.3 million new FairTax advocates before the elections!

The new home page will focus on current news, feature regular blog posts that our grassroots followers can then share, and rotating 10-second messages. There will be little need to guess how to donate or get involved.

More complex information, like our first-class research, will remain available, just not on the top level of the website. Locating the source of the exciting economic claims we can make about the FairTax will be easier than ever.

Once the new website is launched, we encourage all FairTax supporters to create buzz through social media channels as well as your favorite websites and email!

We are working hard to improve the ways we educate Americans on the transformation the FairTax will bring our nation, and are excited to re-launch FairTax.org as a major part of that effort.

Veteran FairTax activist, Robert Williams, created a complete set of FairTax images so you can demonstrate your support of the FairTax as a resident of your state!

Or you can show your patriotism by proclaiming, “This American supports the FairTax”.

Distortion raises rate of Fair Tax – News-Leader

…This column will tackle one of the common distortions that opponents use to scare the uninformed populace. Their argument is the Fair Tax is not a 23-percent tax, but a 30-percent tax. To understand the difference, one must first understand the difference between an inclusive tax and an exclusive tax. The income tax is an inclusive tax, whereas regular sales taxes are exclusive taxes…

The Fair Tax rate of 23 percent is comparing it with the inclusive income tax and not the exclusive regular sales tax. When you compare apples to apples, the Fair Tax rate is 23 percent.

Fair tax movement is gaining steam – LaCrosse Tribune

By any objective measure, the tax code should be replaced. It cannot be fixed. We can leave our children and grandchildren something better.

The organization Americans For Fair Taxation was formed in 1995 and is dedicated to replacing the current tax system.

There has been significant progress. The organization has drafted bills for both the House and the Senate. This legislation is complete ready to go.

As of Feb. 24, there are 76 co-sponsors — 67 representatives and 9 senators.
