Immunity From The "Phony" Scandal

The President and others recently initiated a media campaign to label the IRS targeting scandal as a “Phony Scandal.” Phony is defined as not real or genuine, fake, false or deceiving.

Mr. President, you are absolutely correct! The IRS Director of Tax Exempt Organizations, Lois Lerner’s false and deceiving descriptions of the events she directed are grade A phony baloney. So phony, she felt the need to plead the 5th Amendment when questioned by the House Oversight Committee and now says she will only tell the truth if given immunity from prosecution.

When a person needs a guarantee of immunity from prosecution in order to tell the truth, you can be sure that what will unfold will be ugly, ugly, ugly.

And if you haven’t heard the latest, House Oversight Chairman Darrell Issa has now requested documents from the Federal Election Commission (FEC) to determine if inappropriate collusion occurred between officials of the FEC and IRS. It has been reported that Louis Lerner exchanged emails with an attorney at the FEC prior to a FEC vote on a conservative non-profit.

As has been said before, put your seat belt on folks, this is going to be a bumpy ride!

FairTax Welcomes Congressman Kenny Marchant - Newest Co-Sponsor

Congratulations to volunteer FairTax Texas State Director Marv Kuhn and all of the hardworking FairTax supporters in TX - 24! Rep. Kenny Marchant has become the 70th co-sponsor of HR 25. Marchant also becomes the 4th member of the House Committee on Ways and Means to support the FairTax Plan.

Hearty congratulations to district 24 FairTax supporters who relentlessly communicated their FairTax support to Rep. Marchant, and ditto to the Congressman who actually listened to his constituents.

Please go to Rep. Marchant’s Facebook page and give him a warm FairTax welcome!

Rep. Jim Bridenstine (OK-1) is hosting a tax reform town hall on August 27, 2013, at 6:30 P.M. at Northeastern State University (3100 E. New Orleans Street) in Broken Arrow, OK. We will update you with speaker information when it is finalized by Rep. Bridenstine. We can confirm Neal Boortz will be discussing the FairTax plan! If you are in Oklahoma, please join the Congressman, Neal and the other panelists as they discuss the most important issue facing American taxpayers today.

ACTION ALERT: Tell Herman “Yes to the FairTax”

Herman Cain is launching a month long campaign to see which tax replacement plan his listeners prefer – a flat income tax, Cain’s 9-9-9 or the FairTax®.  Cain states that once his audience makes their choice, he will go national with a replace the tax code program “that the politicians cannot ignore.” In order to vote, you must “opt-in” to his program so your vote counts, however, his site also says you can “opt-out” after you vote.

Come on FairTaxers; let’s give Herman Cain a landslide FairTax vote that he won’t soon forget!

New Survey Says “Yes” To The FairTax

The National Taxpayers Union Foundation (NTUF) recently partnered with the Tax Foundation to determine which tax system citizens prefer – the current “progressive” income tax, a flat income tax or the FairTax.

Citizens were given an option of voting in-person at a special event in Washington or online at NTUF’s website. Which plan won? The FairTax, by an overwhelming majority! The FairTax Plan was viewed as “the best way to promote freedom, fairness and economic opportunity”. Way to go FairTaxers!

Get Your “FairTax Ends The IRS” Stickers

Question Of The Week

Are your elected representatives actively supporting and advocating the FairTax Plan or just supporting it in name only or not at all? If the later, isn’t it time you started actively looking for a primary candidate to support who isn’t afraid to get out front and stand tall for the FairTax?

Until next week,

The FairTax Act In The News

Fair tax would fix corruption -

…Many congressmen are so intoxicated on the power that comes with the IRS and the tax code the Congress doesn’t govern effectively.

This couldn’t happen if the fair tax were adopted. This proposed tax legislation has been before congress for over 10 years but never even considered.

With the fair tax, there are no loopholes; absolutely no opportunity for crooked deals by elected congressmen…

FairTax system eliminates income tax – Press of Atlantic City

After 100 years, it is time to end the income tax. Instead of endless reforms, abuses, and scandals, the incomprehensible tax code needs to be eliminated. There are 68 co-sponsors in the House and 7 in the Senate of legislation to do that, the FairTax bill.

The FairTax eliminates the entire federal income tax code. No more income, business, corporate, gift, inheritance, interest, dividend, and capital gains taxes. No more record keeping and reporting of income. Make as much money as you can and report not a dime of it to the federal government. All taxes on income are replaced with one national retail sales tax on new goods and services. There is no tax on used goods. Business-to-business transactions are not taxed. Instead of hundreds of millions of filers and hundreds of forms, only tens of millions of businesses file a one page report each month with one question - how much did you sell retail?...
