Hundreds Of Meetings - Secret IRS Emails
were you thinking using a personal email for official IRS communications?4
It must have
been a simple oversight. I am sure you
were not trying to hide anything related to the recent targeting scandal. And,
I can’t imagine anyone wanting to avoid those pesky Freedom of Information
were just trying to do your job - just doing what you may have been told…right?
Silly me, I am sure it was just a coincidence that both the IRS Chief and his
Chief of Staff visited the White House hundreds of times during this period.
When asked by Members of that annoying House Oversight Committee to answer
questions about the extra scrutiny your division selectively applied to over
300 conservative non-profits you pled the 5th didn’t you? And didn’t
we recently read that you are now demanding immunity from prosecution in
exchange for telling the Committee the truth?
taxpayers can’t just plead the 5th and demand immunity while being
questioned by the IRS enforcement team.
Instead they sit in abject fear while IRS auditors grind them down about
their lives, expenses and livelihoods.
in 1958 the U.S. House of Representatives passed, with Senate concurrence, the Code of Ethics for Government
Service. This Code applied to all government employees including office
holders. It reads in part:
Any person in Government
service should put loyalty to the highest moral principals and to country above
loyalty to Government persons, party, or department.
How ironic that for 100 years our nation’s elected officials, the
very body that passed this Code of Ethics for Government Service, have used the
income tax code and the IRS for extreme partisan political manipulation – a
contradiction from loyalty to the highest moral principals. The legislative and executive branches have
both operated as if the Code of Ethics for Government Service didn’t exist when
it came to taxation and enforcement.
This problem will only be solved when first, you the taxpayer and
voter, decide that you’ve had enough and stop electing men and women who say
one thing during the election cycle and at Town Halls, only to do the exact
opposite after being sworn into office.
Second, if your elected
representative does not support the FairTax Plan, now is the time to find a primary candidate
that represents your views and get to work. Whatever you do, stop
allowing your elected representative(s) to take your precious vote for granted.
Serving you in Congress is their privilege, not their right.
Finally, stand tall for the FairTax.
If you are not active in your statewide FairTax movement, contact your state or district
director and tell them you want to get involved – NOW!
If you do not see a state director listed for your state and you
have the time and talent to take on that job, contact me and we will put you to
I can’t promise the road will be easy. What I can promise is your children and grandchildren will thank you.
Until next week,
