Americans For Fair Taxation

Memo To Dave And Max

RE: Your Tax Reform Road Show

Thanks for updating America on your much acclaimed tax reform tour, and congratulations on another carefully controlled event long on photo ops and short on substance.

It’s always fun to see the creative ways in which the ruling class fox guards the income tax hen house.

I’m sure your tour has received a ton of heart wrenching, brutal feedback about what the IRS and income tax code has done and is doing to citizens, small business and our nation’s economy.

Silly me, I almost forgot that when one only wants pre-determined outcomes, one controls inputs.

If you really wanted to hear and deal with the longstanding abuses of the IRS and the income tax code you could roll up your sleeves, go straight to the hard working people who live the daily nightmare and listen to them.

Better yet, you might call your colleague Rep. Jim Bridenstine (OK-1), who is hosting a Tax Reform Town Hall on August 27, in Tulsa, OK. To educate his constituents on tax reform alternatives, he is providing panelists who will discuss the FairTax® Plan, a flat income tax and the current income tax code.

It may be shocking to hear that Rep. Bridenstine’s constituents, like the rest of America, are hungry to be heard – really heard. Within a few days of announcing his town hall, the Congressman had to change the venue to one that seats 2,500.

Yes, 2,500 seats and they are expecting a full house!

Gentlemen, the people are desperate for change. They do not want a tinker, a toying with or a makeover. They do not want anything that keeps the IRS and the income tax in place.

They want a fresh start with a tax plan that will generate jobs, bring home offshore manufacturing and turbocharge the nation’s economy – the FairTax® legislation

It’s time to end the photo ops, the controlled tours and the false premise of tax ‘reform.’ It’s time to permanently remove the fox from the hen house and allow the hens to start producing again.

 Until next week,

Tell Herman Cain You Support FairTax

Herman Cain launched a month long campaign to see which tax replacement plan his listeners prefer – a flat income tax, Cain’s 9-9-9 or the FairTax. He stated that once his audience makes their choice, he will go national with a replace the tax code program “that the politicians cannot ignore.”

In order to vote, you must “opt-in” to his program so your vote counts, however, his site also says you can “opt-out” after you vote.

Only 11,000 people have voted so far so let’s give Herman Cain a landslide FairTax vote that he won’t soon forget!

The FairTax Act In The Media

How important is the FairTax?Houston Community News

My answer is another question: How important is the future of the United States?

Everyone decries the rampant partisanship on Capital Hill, which gridlocks progress on a host of issues — existential issues. But have you ever tried to carry on a meaningful conversation with a counterpart across the aisle political speaking? Congress reflects perfectly what is happening on Main Street. Those of us who understand the FairTax know that it is truly non partisan. Unless and until we can work together, left and right, conservative and liberal, Republican and Democrat, there is no hope for a national future. The FairTax could be the cooperative learning experience, which demonstrates how a divided people might come together to solve the most pressing political issues of the day…

We have trudged down the wrong road with the income tax for a hundred years. Recent scandals involving the IRS bring the whole system into startling focus. How important is the FairTax? How important is your grandkids’ future?
