A case for FairTax
Vote for candidates who support FairTax
Sen. Rob Portman does not support the FairTax. Instead, he wants to “reform” our current tax code.
Sen. Sherrod Brown doesn’t support the FairTax either. He thinks a “global minimum tax (that’s an additional tax) and “corporate tax reform” would work.
Con. Mike Turner does not support the FairTax as he also thinks we can simply “reform” the tax code.
What do these two republicans and one democrat have in common? They all fail to recognize that “reform” has been tried many times in the past and has always led to a larger and more dysfunctional tax code that only benefits those in power and their current “friends”. Well, they realize it, they just don’t think we do. I like to call it legalized bribery.
We have asked them repeatedly to support the people’s bill, (HR25/S122) the FairTax. They refuse and it is past time that we showed them the door.
The FairTax eliminates most of the lobbyists in Washington, eliminates the IRS as it exists today, and creates jobs for Americans while continuing to fund government.
Why would those who supposedly represent us NOT want this? Simply, it is because it takes away their ability to prosper off of those they are supposed to be serving. Power and greed have corrupted these men to the point that they have forgotten what their job is.
Please join me in upcoming primaries and in general elections, and vote for candidates who have demonstrated their support for the FairTax as it is they who will truly represent “We the people”. And don’t stop there. Call them, write them, tell your family and friends. If you can, support the FairTax financially. Don’t sell the future of our children short. If we do this now, future generations will look back and happily refer to us as the second great generation.
