On-Line Tax Revolt March on Washington Set! 

A Call to Action   

Our campaign has put into motion a powerful On-line Tax Revolt March on Washington, D.C. culminating April 15^th in the largest American tax protest event since the Boston Tea Party. It can't come a moment to soon.

Over last year there has been a re-awakening of the American tradition of the citizen’s voice in politics and public policy. From coast to coast and in every state people have come together to demand a better government—and a real voice in our government's policies and practices. There is real and legitimate anger that the entrenched political class has served itself, mislead us and ignored the will of the people. No more.

What is extraordinary is that the Tea Party movement has not been organized by any one political figure, party or campaign operative. These are spontaneous local flowerings of a true grass roots sentiment that we’re in deep trouble as a nation and it won’t get better until we eclipse the self-serving, dishonest and destructive power of those who are bankrupting the nation and treating citizens as nothing more than sheep who can be ever more efficiently sheared.

In Massachusetts and indeed in every state politicians, campaign managers, political experts and pundits have been struck dumb, bewildered by this healthy turn toward a government “of, by and for the people.” Everywhere politicians turn they are seeing that the power of incumbency will be no protection from voters angry that they have been failed by political insiders. This justified anger is, however, often general, unfocused and without specific purpose but the on-line tax revolt is open to all and puts purpose to passion.

How It Will Work 

Every citizen, whether a FairTaxer, Flat Taxer, Republican, Democrat, Independent or Libertarian is invited to select an “avatar” a digital representation of themselves at www.onlinetaxrevolt.com, who will be graphically shown making daily progress on a “Google Earth” map of America, from their own home town toward the Capitol on April 15^th. Michael Reagan, Ronald Reagan's eldest son and WSB's FairTaxer Neal Boortz will be two of many march leaders. Neal Boortz has already named his marching team, “The Boortz Brigand”.

Those many Americans who know that reform is critically needed but who cannot travel to Washington, D.C. because they are working so hard to feed their families, run businesses, pay their taxes and raise their children can, through this on-line tax revolt, add their voice to this needed citizen’s movement without having to physically travel to Washington, D.C. On April 15^th tax revolt marchers will digitally join grassroots activists from the FairTax and other citizen movements who will be traveling to Washington for an historic outpouring of citizen discontent. These rallies will be webcast across the nation and will feature the huge crowd of tax protesting avatars simultaneously with sign carrying, rallying citizens.

One need not believe in the FairTax to join this march. Everyone but the political elite knows the tax system is not only broken and badly corrupted by elected officials from both parties. Some have other ideas idea on the best way to fix the problem and others just know the system is destructive without embracing any specific solution. Our income tax system has also becomes the means to expand federal government spending and authority into every aspect of our lives and people are beginning to realize it. Many have dusted off their American history books and recalled or re-learned that the federal government was originally intended to be an equal of state governments. The income tax has turned that concept on its head. Taking back our government begins with an unmistakable, unambiguous and determined roar from the people of America that we are drawing a clear line in the sand and will be pushed no further!

Now is the moment to strike at the heart of the disconnect between citizens and government--excessive and hidden taxes on the fruits of every American's labors, investments and savings by a corrupted practice that makes lobbyists and politicians personal ambitions far more important than the well being of American citizens. Our revolt has already begun, now we make it visible and unmistakable even to those in Washington by joining www.onlinetaxrevolt.com.

Now is the Moment for Citizen Anger to Be Felt in Washington

Today our government is spending our earnings and accumulating unsustainable debt like an out of control teenager who has swiped our credits cards off the bedroom bureau. Washington has become deaf to the pleas of hard working Americans and is spending today’s wealth and the future earnings of our children and grandchildren. They are creating a dangerous fiscal disaster that undermines the pursuit of happiness itself and our future as a great nation.

This destructive outrage can only be stopped by the voice of millions of Americans, unified for a far healthier course. It falls to us and everyone we know to move our “ship of state” to a sustainable and common sense course. If not, we will continue to speed without radar or lookouts into an iceberg strewn path that cannot end in anything but disaster and icy seas.

This is not the moment for “armchair activists” or “sunshine patriots”. Now is the moment for every American who cares about the future of our nation and the destructive practices of government to stand up and make themselves known and heard. Invite politicians to become march leaders, invite your neighbors, your friends, your work colleagues and your fellow church members to join us in a non-partisan, non-issue specific healthy and constructive march on Washington.

2010 is a pivotal year with extremely important mid term elections. We have a window from now until the end of October to educate enough people about the FairTax to get candidates who are FairTax supporters elected.

Marc’s webinars are drawing national participation from seasoned FairTax supporters as well as those just getting started as a supporter. We help build the knowledge base of those on the front lines as well as those wanting to know what the FairTax is about.
