New Leadership at FairTax Central in Houston!

In recognition of the great strides achieved in 2006 in the way of increased membership and funding commitments, the FairTax Board of Directors has added two qualified and enthusiastic leaders to the staff at FairTax Central in Houston, Texas. David Polyansky joined our team on October 3^rd as Chief Operating Officer and Mike Rose will begin work as the Director of Grassroots on the 23^rd of October.

David graduated with a B.S. degree in Political Science from the University of St. Thomas and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Houston Law Center. He is also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he served on active duty from 1992 to 1997. In 2004 David joined the 1^st Battalion, 23^rd Marines, a Houston-based Marine Corps Infantry Battalion for service in Al Anbar, Iraq. David served with an active duty counterintelligence unit and earned various commendations including the Global War on Terrorism Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, and the Combat Action Ribbon.

David has served in various political capacities including campaign manager for an initiative campaign, spokesperson and policy director for a congressional candidate, volunteer for a presidential election, and chief of staff for a City of Houston council member. During law school David served as an account executive with an advertising/public relations agency.

Upon earning his Juris Doctorate degree and entering the State Bar of Texas, David began practicing commercial litigation defense with a local Houston firm. He took a brief respite from the practice of law during his overseas deployment, but after his return he joined another Houston firm to continue his practice.

David is a firm believer in the FairTax and is looking forward to managing the organization towards successful passage of the FairTax and repeal of the 16^th Amendment.

Mike graduated with a B.S. degree in Political Science and International Relations from Boise State University and embarked on a career mixed with directing grassroots efforts, campaigning, public relations, and advocacy. 

He has served in various positions in several campaigns including field director, legislative staff member/special projects coordinator, campaign manager, political director, and executive director. Mike also served as the executive director for the Idaho Republican Party during the transition period between chairmen. In addition, he was an associate with a public relations/communications agency where he conducted community outreach, public relations, and lobbying efforts for several organizations.

Mike believes passionately in the FairTax and is excited about leading the grassroots effort for this bold initiative.

The Board of Directors and staff of FairTax.org are pleased to add leaders of this caliber to our team in Houston and believe that their presence will have a strong, positive effect throughout our grassroots organization.
